When we first started evangalising InsurTech in Ireland back in 2017, we were keen to distinguish InsurTech from the broader Fintech initiatives at that time. To many, InsurTech was considered a sub-genre of Fintech and we spent a lot of time explaining the technical and cultural differences. Now we find ourselves in 2024 and the perception of InsurTech is moving back towards more general Fintech, although now more as a peer than a subordinate. Common goals such as sustainability, along with increased overlap of products and technologies have contributed to this view. Frankly, we welcome this interpretation of InsurTech because the appetite for innovation and the access to resources in the broader Fintech world is more mature and easier to engage.

Accordingly, and as always at the forefront of industry trends, we are pleased to announce that our first in-person event of 2024 will be in partnership with JP Morgan. It may surprise many to know that JP Morgan have quietly been close to InsurTech innovation for many years and have previously partnered with our friends in London.

This event is aimed at both the InsurTech and Fintech communities, offering an new opportunity for networking while addressing topics that are relevant particularly to companies planning to scale. Understanding the areas of payments technology, data privacy and of course artificial intelligence, are critical for successful growth.
