This event, hosted by DLA Piper in collaboration with InsurTech Ireland, examined the intersection between sustainability and the insurance industry. It explored new reporting requirements, shared evolving risk management best practices, and showcased how (re)insurers are successfully integrating sustainability into their investment, underwriting, and operational activities.
This event is aimed at both the InsurTech and Fintech communities, offering an new opportunity for networking while addressing topics that are relevant particularly to companies planning to scale. Understanding the areas of payments technology, data privacy and of course artificial intelligence, are critical for successful growth.
This is a special private event for a visiting group of students and faculty from the Risk Management and Insurance Program at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. They were joined by a number of Irish university students and interns currently working for leading insurers in Ireland.

The theme is "Making Data Analytics work for Insurance" and we have three very knowledgeable speakers who will enlighten you on the risks, benefits and practical "how-to's" of having a data analytics function in your organisation.
We are really pleased to announce that our next meet-up focusing on Innovation Strategies in Reinsurance, will have a truly international flavour with speakers from Hannover Re, Renaissance Re and SCOR.
The theme for this event is RegTech in Insurance and we have two great speakers lined up already. We are excited to announce that John Byrne, Founder and CEO of Corlytics and Kieron O’Brien, Director of Know Your Customer Ireland will be sharing their insights and helping us to understand the world of RegTech as it applies to insurance.
Senior representatives from across the Insurance and Technology arenas will be discussing activity and opportunity across the emerging InsurTech market: barriers to entry, launchpads towards success, and lessons learned across decades of experience.
We're going to be discussing the subject of Insurance regulation in Ireland and we have some great speakers lined up.
For this event we are going to focus primarily on Blockchain and on how it can impact the Insurance industry. We will also have a speaker from the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner addressing GDPR which comes into force on May 25th this year.
We're looking forward to an exciting 2018 in the world of InsurTech and we already have several events planned. The first InsurTech Ireland meet-up of the year will be on Thursday 25th January 2018 at Dogpatch Labs in CHQ, Dublin, starting as usual at 6:00pm.
Following the success of our first meet-up, we’re really looking forward to another great evening of talks and networking with others interested in how technology is changing insurance.
Our objective is simply to share knowledge and ideas around insurance related technology and to network with other like-minded people. We will have four speakers, followed by a panel Q&A session and plenty of time afterwards to network with other attendees.
